Sweep picking positions

I have the standard "chords" used for sweeping (min, maj, dim) but I've never wanted to be the standard guitar player, what other forms would one suggest.

Have you tried sweeping 7th, 9th,11th,13th arpeggios?
Arpeggios from other scales like melodic minor, harmonic minor?
Have you tried to superimpose the usual shapes over other chords?
Have you tried sweeping other stuff than 1-3-5 arpeggios?
Something like 1-5-8-5 or 1-5-8-11 or 1-5-8-9 or symmetrical shapes?

Try extending it with legato and tapping, Richie kotzen has some good examples on Rock chops of inventive sweeping.

Thanks phantom. I have been using diatonic sweeps in the different modes, but was need some different suggestions.
