Why the hell does Zakk Wylde suck so much then???

An interesting point to note is Vai's commitment to practice. In several guitar magazines and texts, he is reported to practice upwards of eight hours per day, a habit he began as early as his high school days.

Zakk Wylde practiced guitar as much as 12 hours per day. Often, he would play the guitar almost non-stop between coming home from school and leaving for school the next morning. He would then sleep through the school day.


Why the hell is Zakk Wylde so damn crappy then? Relatively speaking.

Okay.....


1) Practicing and PLAYING are two different things. Playing doesn't make you a well honed machine, it just gets you confortable with the instrument. Practicing gets you confortable with the instrument as well as fine tunes everything you do

2) No one sucks. With a few exceptions (mostly people who have moderate talent but think they are the ruler of everything) I have yet to run into someone who does something that "sucks"

3) Threads like these only elicit snide remarks and make divisions where there are none needed.
