I read the Mike's article about sweep picking and he mentioned Tumeni Notes (Steve Morse) as an example of excellent sweep picking technique used in a cool song.
My question is:
Does he sweep the first lick or play it with economy/alternate?

I watched some live video at youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YTH3i0s3wOo&mode=related&search= and from my pair of eyes it seems he's playing economy picking.
Anyone knows the right answer here?
I'm trying to learn the song. Starting real slow and It sure could be useful to learn it both ways, but which picking style is moch efficient?

Eh, I don't see where Mike Campese mentions Steve Morse in his sweep picking article? Although I just skimmed it, but regardless Morse alternate picks all that stuff. http://www.ibreathemusic.com/article/8/2 (and scroll down halfway)
Steve Morse is a known alternate picking master
