A quick question:

Anybody else owns this box set of him entitled "History Box" (Label "TIM Music Company") - its a 15CD(!)-Box Set seems to span his work with Grapelli and the Hot Club from 1932-47. Its some sort of bargain bin offer (it only was 20€ when i bought it 5 years ago).

I wonder if this is his most comprehensive collection or if its just a mix of some of his work (like some bargain bin "best ofs " by other artists which dont even really contain their real hits, i hope you know what i mean). Based on the amount of tracks i think this most be almost everything thats available by him; but i never seem to find any sort of info about hat box on the web.

thanx,
ALEX :)

I have a 10 vinyl box set that is fairly comprehensive that cost me about £50 ( about 75 Euros) 15 years ago. I don't think it contains absolutely all his recordings but a good cross-section at least!

The funny thing is that I bought some cheap single cd a year before i got that box and it gives a way better impression / song selection than the box set. I think if you put out a 15 cd box of an artist you´ve somehow overdone it - a few less would do also.........:D
