Sight reading for guitar?

I am seriously thinking about going to school for music, but need to learn how to read music, even if its very remedial. Is there a good beginner book that starts with sight reading that someone could recommend. Preferably without a steep learning curve.

The standard one is William Leavitt: A Modern Method For Guitar. It comes in three volumes and covers reading for the whole neck. Another option is starting with a classical guitar book so you can learn to read and learn classical technique at the same time. The Frederich Noad : Solo Guitar Playing book is good if you take this approach.
