Quick question guys...When sweeping a pattern as the one shown, how do you guys finger it (as in the left hand movement)...While playing around today, I noticed I wasn't utilising my ring finger while sweeping patterns such as the aforementioned and was wondering whether my fingering was unorthodox and uneconomical...

What do you guys think? I've indicated my fingering with the tab

Thats how I'd play it...
But in your fingering, you DID use your ring finger, didnt you? So did you mean you dont use your pinkie?

I would personally use 4-1-2-1-2-1-4, I can't imagine using my 3rd & 2nd fingers to play the B & F# it would feel unnatural to me?

Oh that was a typo...I play it pretty much the way you play it, so yeah was wondering if I should use my ring to play the b on the 12th fret...

Well, that got me wondering if i'd used my ring finger instead of moving my index perhaps it'd be more economical considering the finger's right there doing nothin...Bah but it's taking too much getting used to, so I guess i'll sick to my fingering :D
