i never would have guessed. i usually stand with the strap a little high but last night i was playing crosslegged with the guitar on the right leg and i swear it made strict alternate feel as easy as sweeping in standing position. that is similar to the way al dimeola usually sits sort of. it feels like the wrist is more powerfull and free in that angle or somethin.

I heared that to get good, you have to let it hurt. crosslegged hippie style would defenitely hurt and old body like I have, so maybe ...

:D

I don't know man. My leg falls asleep when I try that.

That would be the traditional classical position. It seems better for finger style in the sense that your wrist is more parallel with the instrument, I find it uncomfortable though.

We used to call that sitting "indian style"...my legs fall asleep too if I sit that way for too long.

Has anyone ever noticed that the curve on the body of an acoutic guitar fits nicely on top of the head of the average slut?

Does anyone remember "El Cabong". He was this cartoon character that was some sort of dog/sheriff. He used to whack his guitar over the heads of bad guys and shout "El Cabong" or was it "EL Kabong"..

Crosslegged hippie style causes a danger of levitation. The bonus is reaching "higher" speeds though ;)

i find downward-facing dog to be especially well-suited to playing legato.
