Hey guys...

Here's a piece I just wrote this week, for solo baritone guitar...

An exploration of some open string chord voicings and lines I've been hearing in my head lately....

Reflection of an Afterthought (http://www.digitalsoundplanet.com/Members/000071278_000006833.mp3) ©2003 Scott Jones

Who knows, this may wind up on my CD also...

:)

Peace,

Scott

Way Cool!
I dig the improv and the cool bass like sound of the bari.
Did you improvise most of this?

You need to write some cool improv articles here!

Very nice - I dig the different feels / moods in each section and it's very well performed. Cool!!!

Never touched a bari guit in my life... I'd love to give that a try.

I actually composed and recorded it to SOUND improv'ed, and there are some improv'ed moments, but it's fairly thought out...but sadly, not written down...

:(

I would love to write some articles...I'll let you guys know if my schedule lightens up...!!

Peace,

Scott

Thanks!!!

Bari IS a cool sound...I've had it for a few months, and this piece is the first real and full exploitation of it...

I admire you for having the guts to post your work here, or the internet for that case.

Aren't you afraid people might steal your stuff? Even with the copyright notice you put, I wouldn't dare myself.

Dude, it's more than a typed notice, its a legit copyright...

My stuff is released material on Holdsworth's label Gnarly Geezer, and soon to be re-released on Progressive Arts...

This piece, in particular, do you really think someone will steal the file and release it? ...when so many, who know me, KNOW I did it....and how exactly would they perform this piece?

...not to mention its got no massive commercial value...

:D

But thanks for your concern, I appreciate it...

Scott

Now I've listened to it quite so many times, and I am still liking it. The open strings against the bass notes sound great.

I don't want to label this tune, so I am just letting you know I liked it a lot. Honestly.

Be well!
