It sucks when you are the only one in your entire school/neighbourhood that is seriously into music...sure you have a couple friends that dabble in it a bit, but are too caught up in girls and video games to be any good at music, so they just kinda suck.
Its like being a heretic or fanatic! Man, it really sucks that all my friends are so immature and don't have any vision in life other than to work at their shallow part time jobs...
I need to move somewhere...

Don't worry bout them and get back to practice. ;)
Everybody taking his passion for guitar seriously has to fight through things like that every now and then.
If they don't keep you from practicing then don't worry about them.
Of course it is nice to have people around that share the same thoughts, but all you need is in the music and if you need someone to share thoughts - hey, that's what we are here for.

With a lot of girls in the begining there won't be good enough guitarpractice.
With a lot of practice in the beginning there won't be a prob with the girls afterwards.
So time the actions. :D

It's easier for married man. First an hour practicing guitar, then an hour practicing on Mrs. Skull. Balance.

It's so true that girls keep you from practising. During the time I had a girlfriend I hardly practised at all, I mean you still have to earn some money, so how would you find more than 2 hours of freetime for guitar?
On the other hand I never felt more relaxed and balanced than during that time. Now I do nothing else but practising again, but I so miss the tender touch of a woman.
So what do we learn? Just don't start a serious relationship, there are nice prostitutes out there :)

find some older guys to jam with, generaly more experience, maturity, gear etc. the covers bands i play in im the youngest by 15-20 yrs so theres no competition for the young groupies ;)

It seems pretty crazy that there is no one you can find to get some practice in with. I know personal and professional stuff can get in the way but people need to get together. Maybe your just supposed to be a born leader and take control of the situation.
