My bass player is looking to learn how to do walking bass lines. Mainly just how to walk bass lines for blues progressions only. He's pretty crafty with riffs for everything else but the one note bass lines he says are getting pretty boring.

I searched walking bass lines and didn't find what I was looking for so help would be awesome thanks.

Easy walking bass is to walk chromatically between the chord changes, i.e. going from a G note back to the tonic C note sound the F, E, D note on the way back to the C note.

And again the easy way is to walk the frets back, that takes into account the sharps within the key.

If he/she is still doing a 1-1-1-1 pattern charts would be the next step.

I don't play bass, I'm sure the bass players can dig up some patterns charts for you.
