I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for where I could find some funk-style rhythms, like the ones that Guni used in his article "A mouth full of rhythm". I found those to be really beneficial for my rhythm playing and I wanted to learn more. Thanks

I'm sorry James but is that a Berklee book? I tried searching for it but came up empty.

Hi Playmystrat,

It's great to hear that you liked this article. Actually, I have collected some more rhythm guitar material that I will put together into another article soon ...

It's too bad but the book 'Berklee Rhythm Section Studies' is out of print and no longer available.

Try listening to early micheal jackson when john williams was playing with him. John williams is a great funk rhythm guitarist.

Also, try subscribing to guitar techiques (it's a magazine), they provide real cool lessons on rhythm, be it rock, pop or FUNK!!!

FUNK OWNZZZ!!
