The link is OK (I didn't check the detail), but it only amounts to a very tiny example.
I think you need loads of examples, and make up part of your regular practice routine with lots of that stuff.
You can find good sweep exercises in DVD's from all the usual suspects, eg Paul Gilbert, Angelo Batio, Petrucci, Gambale. The shred metal books from Troy Stetina also have various exercises, and those are very good books anyway (Metal Lead Guitar vol-1 and vol-2, and Speed Mechanics).
Maybe it's just my personal preference, but I don't think I'd have ever got very far if I was just relying on free stuff from the net. So, if you don't already have those sort of books and DVD's (ie the above), then I'd bite the bullet and start acquiring that stuff pdq, ... organise it into a solid practice regime.
2:cent's.

You must use the space where you think your middle pickup would be and anchor two or more of your fingers there. This will give you a fixed point which you can use as a lever for the right-hand sweep. So not anchoring is not acceptable then? Hmmm
Unwanted string noise:
In order to prevent this noise you must use your thumb to mute the strings after
you have played the note on that string. You don't mute at the bridge with sweep
picking. That's another new one to me, though I haven't studied sweeping too closely yet. So far I've been moving my palm up and down muting as I go. It seems to work for me.
Are there really such inflexible rules to sweeping? I've not seen such rules for speed picking.

Yes, some things on that site are misrepresented. However if you choose not to pay attention to the fallacies of the English Language and rather focus on the ideas being presented, it might be helpful. I mean give the techniques a try. Tom Hess mutes with his thumb and he's one of the best sweepers I've seen. It also decreases resistance which your palm might be giving to you. As far as the anchoring thing is concerned- anchoring might pose some problems with your hand speed but in sweeping the actual speed of your right hand isn't much. The notes are played fast. John Petrucci anchors and is he that bad? I don't think he is. So give the "suggestions" a try. Come on guys you don't always have to be the harsh critic.
Cheers:D

So, you mean it's your website or you have some connection to it?
