Hi there!
I know there are dozens of articles and threads about this. I have read all the things I have found about picking but i still couldn't find an answer to my problem.
I've been playing for 6 years now and i still couldn't find the pick that suits best for me. Whenever I use a pick for a long time i switch to a new one to be comfortable again. I use three fingers while holding the pick and it comes nearly paralel to the strings. Is that the problem? What do you suggest?
Thanks for your time!
Regards!

Er... what exactly is the problem...?
You can't play fast enough...? Too much tension...? You only told us you have a problem, but now what problem...
About the paralles stuff: you might take a look at this:

hey my friend...
just "pmed" you..
i wouldn't worry about changing picks. i changed my picks for 12 years maybe once or twice a year! i think it comes with the progress of your technique - you try to accomplish something but feel uncomfortable with the pick. when you change the pick and it works out better then before you made a step in the right direction.
i think it just belongs to the process. ;)

the problem is.. I'm not comfortable. When I'm playing, if I use hard picks it feels like the string is bending a bit when I pick it. If I use softer picks the pick gets stuck. I use .10 strings with Jazz III picks. Is it because i'm holding it with three fingers?

Jazz III with three fingers?!?! How do you do that! I use the Jazz III too (the red one) with 0.10 strings (D'Addario XL), but only since a week... I'm having trouble getting a hold of it with two fingers already...
Anyway, don't hold it too loose: hold it as near to the tip of it as possible, without touching the strings with your fingers (that's my trouble with it).
And.... the string bends indeed when you pick it: nothing wrong with that! I think...

Well.. it's actually harder for me to play with larger picks because I think it's har to control them but I'm using Jazz III for a week too. I guess I use it because it's really sharp.
