Why did no one tell me of this wonderful system? It was always out there, but I stupidly ignored it... Now I know exactly what I need.

I always had problems with visualisation, and now I know what to do.

Could someone post good links about visualization and caged? (not method books please, only links)

This was (by far) the easiest explanation I have found up to now and the one I learned most from:

I remember a very good thread on this topic on our forums:

CAGED thread (http://www.ibreathemusic.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1323)

As far as I remember Szulc is writing book about CAGED system and he's certainly the one who could give you a good advice.

The book is really about transcending the Caged system, thus the title "Escape From The Cage".
It has taken me since 1980 to get these ideas into a format that is suitable for publishing.
A great deal of the material was developed for my own education and for guitar students.
The book is going to be published on the net as a subscription service ( hopefully from this site). This is mostly to keep it from being redistributed in digital format on peer to peer networks, since I have so much of my life and time tied up in this.
The intent is to have people subscribe to it on a monthly or quarterly basis, then to have private forums that only subscribers can read/post to. This way I can give personal attention to those who subscribe. Obviously, I'll give priority to this forum when it starts since it will be a subscription service. I believe that new forum software must be installed and tested before ibm can begin this type of service. I also believe that other authors on ibm have this type of service planned for the near future.

Wow! I'm VERY curious and interested!!! As you might have guessed after our 'conversation' last week on this forum about your lessons about Moving from familiar etc.

Is there a change on getting a 'demo' chapter of the book before you have to subsribe? So I can get an idea what's it all going to? And what prices should I be thinking about...? When will it be finished? Tell me more, tell me more! ;)

My thinking is that with public forums, you will generate more exposure, and therefore interest in your book. I suspect that you wouldn't have to answer EVERY question posed in your forums, as members would be helping each other out also. Just a thought.

OK, so stuff in your book has been discussed here before. But anyhoo, my only point is, you can give away a lot of info, and still get sales. I've been on Jamey Andreas mailing list for a long time, I've read a lot of his articles on this site, and I've been to his site and read his forums. So I knew a lot of the content of his book, but I still bought it. So in my case, being exposed to his ideas a lot pushed me over the hump. So, while I don't have any marketing study to suggest that's the best way to go, I thought the public forums (instead of private) are something you might consider. Good luck with the book!

I lost about half of this post before (sorry it seemed so terse).
The forum thing with subscription service is really Guni's idea and the ball is in his court on this. I believe ther is new forum software that needs to be installed and tested before this can happen. I also believe that Guni and Eric are planning somthing similar. It will be sort of like private lessons via the net. How the this happens (if it happens) is going to be up to Guni.
I have been contributing to the forum here for almost 2 years, and will continue to do so. The thing that is cool about this is I will have a forum that is dedicated to my work and ideas. That excites me. I find it difficult to participate in the general forurms because the talk is not usually about improvising, composing or theory. These are the things I am passionate about.
I hope there will be enough interest in these things when we can make this happen form me to have subscribers. I want to share my ideas with others and I want them to be inspired. Then I want them to share their ideas with me.
I make good money in my job, so it is not about that.
