1st video is me warming up :) halfway through you see me change picks during the sweeps, i cant sweep with thick picks!!! argggg
Jim The Shredder (http://members.dodo.com.au/jjer/shred.wmv) 5.7mb Right Click Save As, the intro run starts on B and my last note is C, i know i know.. :P

my second vid is a clip of my playing cliffs of dover. i made a few errors but for the sake of the vid i thought id leave em, and it was a bit messy too but oh well

Jimmy does Dover (http://members.dodo.com.au/jjer/jimmy_does_dover.wmv) right click save as 2.2mb

I think it sounds pretty decent and you got awesome sound for being just a webcam and your soundcard, sweet guitar.

I was impressed. Cliffs of dover is a killer, it ties my fingers in knots somehow. Again, great video quality, and sound quality.

Where'd you get the backing track?

I'm jealous JimmyJ. My RG570 doesn't play that good or maybe it is the difference between players ;) I especially like Cliffs of Dover. Where did you get the backing track?

That must be an older 570 as I noticed it didn't have an AANJ.

funny you mentioned that,

from my learnings i think this RG is a 1988 or 1989 model,

what does the all access neck joint mean?

I like the Ibanez alot!! What pickups, amp, strings and pick do you use?
In case you are curious, I own and treasure and Ibanez RG7620 7-string. I have an Ampeg SS-150 guitar head from '88, D'addario 10-56 XL strings, red Dunlop Jazz IIIs and the dunlop stylus pick, and stock DiMarzio pickups.
Killer Tracks too!!! They are an inspiration to me.

thanks for the feedback guys,

here are my specs

1988-89 spec Ibanez RG570

Original Edge Trem
GOTOH tuners
Unknown Wizard neck, its about half the width of my ibanez rg450 neck

Original V8 & V7 pickups (i have a paf and an evo dimarzio set that i use to interchange)

my strings are D'Addario 009-042s nickel wound

and that distortion was generated by my korg ax30G multi effects pedal into my peavey bandit transtube amp.

the amp i dont think has much to do with my tone, as i get similar sounds out of any old amp, i think if i could summarize my technique in a few words it would be
"light fingered" and "loose"

i dont fret the strings hard and that allows me to move quickly :)

hope that answered a few, oh by the way my action is set so low that two peices of paper only just fit between the neck and the strings, no fret buzz either :D
