Hi All,

I thought I would share something I am trying to help me remember Arpeggio & Sweep Picking Shapes, as well as other things like Major Scale Patterns, Modes, Alteration of Modes Etc.

I photocopied these different Scale, Sweep and Arpeggio Diagrams at A3 and pasted my whole practice room full of them, so that I always see them. What is also pretty cool about this is that I can reference Sweep & Arp Patterns, Scales etc. anytime without having to dig around to find a specific page in a instructional book.

This might sound stupid, but I have found that I remember things a lot more when I see them the whole time, I guess it is a case of "out of sight, out of mind"

Cheers

Hey man! Why you don't make some money and start to sell wallpapers which have modes/arpeggios/scales in them ...:) ,but I'd prefer my walls would be covered with all jazz standards...

I bet someone has done it.. :D

PS.I personally use 'visual' memory as much I can ,when thinking of chords ,scales etc. since my reading ain't so good....If I need to know f.ex a major triad over Bb ..I mentally visualize the fretboard and spell out the notes...
