I was sitting reading through this and I listened to the examples that the two of you played and it made we want to pick up the guitar :)
My guitar was plugged into ma fx board which in turn was plugged into pc so I recorded a wee ditty. Basically based upon what I heard the two of you play. Nothing special but I just improvised slightly hear n there and it ends abruptly...damn dog came in and started licking my hand doh!
anyway heres the link.

Very very nice, good job, man...
Heh, when I prepared the article I had to decide what melody to play, either "Amazing Grace" or... "Loch Lormond" ( you might be familiar with it, being from Scotland and all )... I love that melody!
Eric
PS;: Did ya ever notice how often the "Loch Lormond" melody has occured in songs, or under different names etc. ?
"Bonnie" ( as heard on the double live-album by AC/DC ), "Highland Wedding" by Steve Morse... also, the chorus of Rod Stewartīs "Rhythm Of My Heart", to me, sounds VERY MUCH inspired by the melody, too :)

The whole thing was based upon the melody lol I was just foolin about rather than jump straight in and it took longer than i anticipated 4 minutes jeez lol. I don't know where the bit around 1:06 just came up with it but I like it lol

Hey Eric....was cleanin out ma pc when i found one of the temp files fae the recordings i done lol
Maybe you'll like this one better was one of first ones i done. I particularly like some of the phrasing in it, i ditched it to begin with because cos i played wrong note and bent up but upon listening again i quite like it. Once again I apologise for filling forum with my bad playing :( lol
Cheers

Sorry for replying so late.
I canīt listen to the file... my computer broke down and is pretty much beyond repair. Logging in from a friends computer right now... I donīt know when Íīll be able to go online again, or when Iīll be able to buy a new computer, since Iīm pretty much all broke, and that wonīt change for a while.
So... canīt listen to it right now. Once Iīm back online ( whenever that is ), I will though
Thanks
