Hi all,

I've found this site quite instructive and interesting.

http://www.guitarmain.com

It's only based in Jazz Guitar. The guy has been +30 years playing and gives you really nice tips for people like me who are starting in that crazy world.

Lessons, and some tips on "what to study", from "where I have to begin" based in his personal experience and success. Some analyses of very common standards to kick off and things like that.

Check it out.

Good luck!!

Hi there,

i have some questions, which songs are the "jazz standarts" and what makes them so ?

and one more thing,
let's say i'm going to play a 'jazz standard' how can be sure of which is the original version of that song ? 'cause everybodys improvizing everywhere ?

Got sorted?

Do you like the site?

I think is pretty good. Because for people like me who get stuck easily and don't know what to study next, or which is the important things to study.

If you notice the guy emphasises a lot in ear training stuff. Transcribing is the "key".

Enjoy and good luck
