View Full Version : I want to hear deep theory from Masters

Hey I am an advancing guitarist desiring to hear deep Secrets of the Masters. I am really into slowly creating subtle tensions and slowly deepening the tension until the need for resolution becomes greater than our need for air. :D Trey Anastasio used to be a master of this, Jimmy Herring is also very good at it. I have also heard of a guy named Ted Dunbar who did things like this very well. I have found that fourths either Perfect or Augmented tend to lend generously to a larger harmonic palette. Anyways If you have any sick theory Ideas for creating tension smoothly and pleasantly please share.....

every note wants to go to the I chord (and that darned leading tone is in it). i know you probably think that thats to simple. it is. im not a master. yet.

ps sorry if that wasnt what you are looking for but there is a lot of tension and resolution going on there!
