View Full Version : 3-piece shred tunes?
Hey guys. I'm sort of in a band, and we usually just jam around stuff, but I've been looking around for any cool instrumental songs that would sound cool in a 3-piece(justbass, guitar, drums). I've listened to all sorts of stuff, but a lot of the cool shred stuff requires 2 guitars and keyboards and such, which wouldn't really work out for us live. So anyone got any ideas on some cool 3-piece shred tunes?

Anything by the Ricky Garcia Band, they´re a trio, too =)
Other than that, you could rearrange some tunes by Satch for a trio, leave out the rhythm guitars... after all, he´s been playing some tunes without a rhythm guitarist in the old days... Summer Song, Satch Boogie, tunes like that.
Morse Band: The Introduction, Cruise Missile, Simple Simon, Good To Go, Icecakes ( Dregs ), Cruise Control...

i saw "three piece" , and i was thinking ,"The Chicken Combo" or "the Suit" i'm glad there's an other option
You could try "Orion" or "Call the Chatulu" by Metallica "Frankenstein " the OVerkill version , comes to mind off horrorscope.
.moby Dick by Led Zep , Exit 21 Blues Saraceno .
Where Eagles dare off piece of mind Iron Madien , would
sound good as an instrumental , too, that's my .03 cents .
