Wow, up until about an hour ago I had reached a dead end in my blues soloing. Every time my guitar teacher or one of my friends would ask to play a blues(he plays I-IV-V or a variation and I solo) I would spit out the same boring licks. Well he gave me a sheet of forms for the major and minor pentatonic, and I tried them out. I'm coming up with all new licks, and its really cool. Even after I learned the second form, I came up with at least 5 new ideas and more keep coming. If anyone here hasn't learned all the forms of the pentatonic scale I highly recommend it.

I've been stuck with the blues scale in just one pattern for some time, and am now learning the scale in one key but in different patterns (for different positions). Yes, it's very nice when you 'discover' something new.
