Hi Gareth,

I'm not a specialist in this area but didn't he mostly use Gretch guitars? And I have heard something about Selmer amps.... and I'm sure a VOX AC30 is invloved too ....

I'm sure Google can help out here.

Yes, he used Gretsch guitars... also Fender Strats ( with the Beatles )... Vox amps ever since the Beatles times, but also Fender Twin and Bassman.

George’s Guitar used per Beatle Recording Sessions.

Please Please Me: Gretsch Rock Jet, Gibson G160E (3/63 and before)

With The Beatles: Gretsch Country Gent, Gibson G160E, Jose Ramirez added. Jet dropped.
Hard Days Night: Rickenbacker 360/12 (electric 12 string) added. (Major Point in R&R History)
For Sale: Gretsch Tennessean added.

Help: Gretsch Tennessean main axe. Gretsch Country Gent dropped. Gibson ES345 added.

Rubber Soul: Epiphone Casino main axe. Fender Strat added. Rickenbacker 360/12 plays bigger and more experimental role as result of Roger McGuinn of the Byrds influences. (George’s Electric 12 string had originally inspired Roger who a year or so later inspired him right back.)

Revolver: Epiphone Casino, Gibson S.G.(added) and Strat were 3 main axes.

Sgt. Pepper & Magical Mystery Tour: Strat becomes main axe. Also used were: the Casino, Tennessean, Rickenbacker 12 string and Gibson G160E.

White Album: Strat and Gibson Les Paul (added) were main axes. Gibson S.G, Gibson J 200, Gibson J160E, Fender Bass VI were also used.
Let it Be: Fender Tele and Les Paul were main axes. Gibson J 200 and Fender Bass VI also used.
Abbey Road: Les Paul and Fender Tele main axes. Gibson J200 and Fender Jazz also used.
