Hey Eric,

Really enjoy your articles and informative posts! I was wondering if you were up to the challenge (may not be a challenge for YOU:)) of transcribing for us the beginning of Satch's (G3 Live in Denver DVD) little mini-solo before he starts his set. I think this would be a great chop-builder for us. I tried to sus it out but I can't figure out if he's doing a bunch of slurs using "hammer-ons from nowhere" or what. It would be awesome if you could possibly find time to do this.

Hi there

I am quite busy right now ( I guess its obvious considering the fact that I have hardly posted anything within the last 2 weeks or so ), but IŽll check out that solo and see what I can do.

Thanks buddy! Whenever you get a chance. It's too bad you can't slow down a DVD's sound like the Tascam GT-1 CD Player. Maybe soon......

Hey Beav,

actually, that is what IŽll be doing... slow it down. I have taken a look at it, and the problem wonŽt be figuring out the licks, but tabbing them out correctly regarding rhythm etc.
Most of that solo is based on some very standard blues licks which he plays pretty fast.
I recorded the audio of the DVD with Wavelab... .wav-format. I used the same program to slow it down a bit.
IŽm very busy these days, IŽm home for about 2 hrs now, then IŽll have to leave again, but IŽll try to get this down soon

I would like to see a transciption of this as well but I wouldn't like to see Eric pass out of exhaustion making it...:) ...not that important.:)
