Perpetual Burn intro

I waS just curious how to play the intro to Perpetual Burn picking wise. Is it swept, or alternate picked? I know it's played with pulloffs but is it swept?

I´d sweep that part, and I think Jason did it that way,also. I always thought of it as a kind of arp with pull-offs in between, so sweeping works well. Makes it easier to reach that speed, too
