I struggle with the more difficult bar chords, especially in higher positions. There is especially one chord I need that I almost can't play without hurting my hand:

-15-
-15-
-15-
-17-
-17-
-15-

I always try to use the weight of my arm to help with pressing down the 1st-finger strings, but I can't see how to use this force above the 12th fret.

If any of you had any tips on this chord or 6-string bar chords in general, I would greatly appreciate it.

You should be able to play this chord without too much tension, especially on the higher frets. Try tilting your first finger so you press with more of the side of it than the pads. This is easier because the side is flatter and frets all the strings more evenly.
Also, try wearing your guitar higher, this gives you easier access to the higher frets, and you won't have to bend your wrist very much.
