The best way is prolly to record ur solo while u listen to the vamp through headphones then u mix them both. Now, which simple free soft could handle recording + mixing the two parts? and any tips on getting better results? ty.
I know one :Acid Music Xpress, its free, but im not familiar with it. Tell me what u think.

i don't know Acid music xpress, but,
Audacity is a free program, although i have not used it.

Not a free program, but free to try, is Goldwave. This is quite a good program if you only need to record one channel. Costs about $43 if you decide to buy :-

Anyone courageous and wise nuff to make a "fast 'n' easy recording over vamp tutorial"?
I'll record myself playing the F# Vamp posted in the Show and tell forum ("How would you......"). If enough people are interested, I'll try and record it tommorow and I'll post it when I have found some webspace.
