wow, that one pretty talented kid! his stuff wasn't perfect, but the video of the tapping of eruption was very impressive, i also enjoyed the exerpt from "i don't know." he's a good singer too, and his tone was nice. definately better than that last "prodigy" kid i saw anyway.

The kids great at a young age but as said before at the last post about a prodigy, i dont think age matters, i agree with whoever said that its how long you have been playing. Still it takes dedication to start early like that. I wish my parents had started me early but i'v only had my guitar for 1 3/4 years now and im age 16 -.-. When i get to college i hope i have as much time to play as i do now. 7 Years, no wonder hes good. In my opinion (im very critical x.x) for 7 years and a prodigy, he should be playing much better than he is to. Someone else meantioned "prodigys are these 6 year old kids playing paganini on violin". Still, its another great guitarist being born so more power to him.

He makes that kid at the MTV show look like a drooling doofus in comparison.

WOW! 14 years old and can play better than most adults who've been at it - hard - for 7 years. That is awesome. I was especially impressed by how clean and accurate his playing was. He's certainly not perfect, but I've practiced that Suicide Solution solo a couple thousand times myself, so I can appreciate how much he's accomplished.

Yeah, it is kinda sad that other kid gets all this attention and isnt even that good and this kid who is way better doesnt get thrown on MTV or alot of publicity.

Great tone!!!! That tells me he is the real deal. Notice he doesn't have any effects, just him playing.

His song list shows he is very versatile too. See all that SRV on there?

Prodigy, who cares! Extremely talented and dedicated? YES!

I enjoy watching this guy not because he plays very well for his age, but because he really seems to be having fun.

I agree. 7 years IS a very long time, and it seems guitar was made a huge part of his life very early on, so it figures he would be dedicated, i think he was lucky to get encouraged by parents to start so ealy and remain dedicated to it, talented guy yes, prodigy.... hard to define realy.
I once knew one on the piano, he was truely amazin, he was a good 25 years old but he was a famly friend and ive been told he was as good as he is now 20 years ago

I was checking out the THD amp website and noticed that Nick Sterling recorded some samples for them, including his take on Eruption. Very impressive no matter how old he might be... :)

I could play that part in Eruption about 2.5 years after I started playing, does that make me a super prodigy (im a lot older than him though!). ;)

6stringshredder, that video clip is the "easy" part that everybody in this world can play. Go listen to the soundfile at the THD website. It is supremely impressive.
