First off a little "Hello" and introduction of myself:

I'm all new to this site, but since I thought it looked just like what I was looking for in musician community, I signed up right away.

I'm 22 years old, been playing electric guitar for 10 years now(I'm far from a virtuoso tho ;) ) and recently took up playing drums as well. I play in several bands, my main one has been going on for almost six years now. I record my own stuff at home using my computer, and am very open-minded when it comes to music. I'm looking forward to spending time one these forums and learning all sorts of new stuff.

Now my question:

How do I upgrade the Firmware in a Behringer Ultra Curve DSP 8000?

My guess is that you will need to replace a chip, but you need to contact Beheringer to find out.

I don't think so...because the upgrade is downloadable from behringer's site. I'll email them and ask about it. Thanks tho.

The ultracurve in question is behaving really strange. Do you think it could be software issues or is it more likely to be hardware related? Sometimes it works perfectly, sometimes it's just weird.

If the upgrade is downloadable then you will need some method to communicate with the unit to send it the firmware. Does it have a USB, serial port or MIDI port? There should be an executable that you can download to be able to send the code overa serial connection from your pc to the unit. Usually firmware software is small and they package the upgrade executable with it.

That sounds reasonable...I don't have the unit here, but I know it is MIDI equipped. I didn't actually bother to check the contents of the .zip file. Thanks! :)
