Hey guys well I am looking for i guess a good distortion pedal. Something that really brings out harmonics and all those wonderfull techniques and also something that really has great Gain. Also something that is really great with the solos thanks guys.

Try Boss pedals...the Yellow and the Tangerine colored ones...the Yellow one is actually a warm overdrive...pretty sweet, with the right amount of gain to make nice distortion happen...if you're into lots of gain, try the Tangerine colored, or another one called the Metal Zone...i personally don't like that one, but if you're a metalhead shredder, you'll love it right away...my hot would be the tangerine one...

Do you want metal or rock crunch? I have an Ibanez Smashbox which is a sizzling distortion with a built-in noise gate for the rock stuff. For the metal, I use an analog pedal by Zoom called the Tri-Metal (extremely heavy!)

Visual Sound Jekyll & Hyde. Try one out and you'll be surprised. I have the yellow Boss too, but it's collecting dust after I got the J&H.

I personally think the Metal Zone is pretty wimpy. Why don't you try a Tone-Bone or an MXR Double-Shot?

I used to use a Ratt pedal when playing E Ionian Metal through a Marshall half stack. It hit the spot.:D For other than metal, I highly recomend the Hughs and Kettner Preamp. You got to listen to it. It gives you Balls like you have never heard before. I mean Vintage Krunch all the way from clean to distortion. Not alot of sustain but the rhythm sound is unbeatable.;)
