Problem with 'norml' note going to harmonic

Hiya,

I have a small problem:
whenever I e.g. play the G# on the B string (9th fret) it automatically goes into a natural harmonic after 1 second!

Is this due to how my guitar is set up or something?

I have a Yamaha RGX guitar and a Line6 Flextone 3 amp.

Any sugestions?

Maybe the string, as you press it down against the fretboard and pick it, is making contact with some other frets...I don't know, maybe you can try to raise the action of that single string?? That is, if your guitar is equipped with normal Vibrato bridge system...Or, if you own a guitar equipped with a Floyd Rose, try raising the treble strings just a litle bit...maybe that can help...
