It's been too long since I have had all my friends over the house without the wives and just made a bunch of noise. I will provide Chips, Dip and Wine and guests are expected to bring their own beer and Herb. I expect about 15 people with acoustics, Acoustic bass, Resonator, Mandolin and myself on Tres.

Any thoughts on how to organise it so that it isn't just a cluster F*** of noise?

As it turned out, I had a very small showing. I gues all my friends didn't feel like driving over after their gigs. It turned out nice with only six musicians. We had a massive vocal improve sing-along. Thanks to the alcohol.:p

I've been away for a bit and I missed reading this. It would have been good to jam with you and your friends Los Boleros. Too bad i'm way up here in Canada.

I'm in for next year.....I'll start saving up for that plane ticket!

Technically you can make it up to them
they will choose when to join and jam nd when to be quite.
or if there really good they can make up with one another, meaning one plays the other hears him and gives him rythem , and another one gives him a little here and there touches on his intrument.. doing little things not everyone must do a solo in the same time

dont forget saying the scale your jaming to or that will everything too (lol, that would be funny though...)

Well it was another really fun time! I got a little drunk and had to commandier a set of bongos. I't funny how all the harmonies sound so good together when everybody is drunk. Good thing there was no tape recorder on.:D

Hahhah! You so right there, I was in the studio on the 30th and we all got completely hammered. By the end we thought we were really playing some great and rare blues that no-one had ever done before.

Unfortunately in the morning the tape told a different story...

In fact I have no idea how I remained standing beyond about 8.30ish, let alone play the guitar...

Sorry, I couldnt make it to your place. I told the wife I was off to San Francisco and she said, "no you're not", so that was that really.

Not a very long song though:

"I went down to the airport...dum dum dum dum
and the wife said come back hooooommme...dum dum dum dum"

Thank you very much, good night.

Hey Russ, have you heard the Peter Green 'Me and the Devil Blues' CD?? Triple box-set, his versions of RJ, and for those that have never heard them, a CD of all the RJ recordings, very nice and PG doing it with a slightly different twist.

It is good isn't it Bagman, as with all his later stuff, back to his good self!!!

Russ, if you have a problem finding it, let me know and we can sort something out, I only say this because mine is part of a 10,000 limited edition run.

You can order it through the Peter Green Splinter Group website I believe. Try Google. I especially like his slide work on these songs. Yea, Peter Green is one of my favorites. Its good to see him being more active
