I'm a huge fan of Petrucci's so i have tons of videos from him like: Live At Budokan, Live Scenes From New York, Rock Discipline and etc...
I've noticed that when he play this real real fast licks he gets his pinky to stay under the ring finger(forgot his name, the 3rd one) of his right hand, so i've tried that and it worked pretty well, i got more control over my picking... is that just my imagination or it has a scientific explanation?

It probably just fits you better. I'm a huge JP fan and I've noticed that he anchors in ways I don't see my hand comfortably moving. The only real explanation for it working better for you is that the way you do something makes it more efficient and controllable to keep a finger anchored. By the way, you probably already know this but JP says he developed his style from Steve Morse, so if you haven't already done so, check him out. I do the Vandenberg-approved 'floating hand' myself, but there's no reason not to use whatever works better for you,

I guess i'll just spend the whole night seeking for how Steve Morse uses his right hand on his website. Do you or anybody else has a clue about another source?

I don't know, but Vandenberg's picking articles, which I'm *sure* (hint hint) you've checked out already, deal with just about all you need. He has a video or two out, and you can always check out the Dregs DVDs and the newest Deep Purple stuff to see what's going on. If that doesn't help, feel free to PM me, and I'll see if I can find something else for you.

i think eric v wrote an indepth article on steve morse actually, it might have even been an interview. Check that out. Also, he has a book "Open Ears" which I plan to check out as soon as someone returns it to the library...its supposedly a collection of his lessons and life stories, might be some cool info in there as well.
