rolling fingers

Hi, I'm having trouble rolling my fingers across adjacent frets when sweep picking. How exactly do you roll your fingers? Do you just use the tips of the fingers? and/or do you slant your finger in the direction that you're rolling?

Hi there,

You'd use the fingertip for the lower note and then use the last joint of your finger kinda bending it backwards to fret the higher note. It's kinda difficult to explain without you being able to see it. (Pictures anyone?) I hope this gives you an idea though.
