while we were bickering over stupid shyte last night one of the world's most important rock guitarists was killed by some 25 year old punk *** with a gun. Dimebag was shot to death and Vinnie Paul was shot too but he is ok. When the cops blew the kid away they also killed 3 people in the audience.

RIP Dime, prayers to the abbott's and the rest of the band, aswell as the dead from the audience.

The cop who killed the gunman, DID NOT kill anyone in the audience, the only killing of the audience was done by the pyscho gunman... the cop killed him with a shotgun.

My friend Art called me about 8:00 the morning and told me the News .

Darrell is gone .To those who knew him ,or knew of him, he was on of the greatest personalities and people, as well as guitarist .

The details i heard were , the Gunman ran into the club shot the Bouncer , shot Darrell , then tried to shoot Vinnie Paul , as Vinnie jumped up from his drumset to tackle , the Gunman . The Body Guard / Drum Tech Jumped infront of Vinnie to protect him . He Caught the Bullet , for Vinnie , or Vinnie would be Dead , too . They tried to give Darrell CPR , but it was no use
This happened because some Psycopath , didn't like the Fact Pantera broke up. The guy was obviosly Mentally Ill . It is just a bad luck scinerio , the club was small 250 person capacity , and had Laxed security .no metal detector , no body search . You know the Club is going to get sued for this one . But who cares it's not going to bring Darrell back .

On the Howard Stern Show , Ozzy Osbourne used to joke about the Psycos who would come to his shows , he had one guy try to throw an M-80 at him , from the front row , but just as the guy lit the fuse , Ozzy said,"put your hands in the Air" everybody did , and it knocked the M80 in to the Guys shirt sleeve , and Blew up , the security took the guy away .
