The example is an atonal lick with augmented arpeggios. I use stretching & string skipping. Use the idea with other arpeggios.

Remember to practice very slowly.
Use the ideas on other scales or patterns.
Practice the exercises beginning with down and up stroke.
Maintain their relaxed body it should not tighten the muscles of their arm or their shoulder.
Patience and good luck  .

This example is a stretching exercise, it is very difficult to play in that position, so transport it where you feel comfortable or it could be painful. With the time you play it as this writing. http://www.chopsfromhell.com/lloret2_ex2.gif

This example is a Bmin legato lick. It combines six notes and seven notes, and I don't use up strokes, I use the middle finger.

This lick is a simple legato idea in Amaj, but I combine groups of 6 with groups of 8 in the time. Use a metronome or drum machine for this.

Hi Toni,
I am also a native Spanish speaker, there are some around in the website but for the sake of non-spanish speaker IBMers I'm writing my post in english (I know it kills me when I see one in German 'cause I can't understand it :D ). I had a chance to get your book in the begining of 2004 and let me tell you is very well written. The examples are representative of Yngwie's style (many times direct quotes from some of his solos) and the last section on scale patterns is really helpful for students.
I haven't had a chance to use it in thew classroom yet but I wouldn't hesitate in doing so if I get a student who "wants to play like Yngwie". Welcome to the comunity and I hope to see you around.
Regards,
Toni Lloret
