Try 15/8 timing. Thats basically three 4/4's and one 3/4.

I tend to prefer II/V/I progressions.

Try this one: its a II/V/I/VII

C - C - F - G - F - C - Bb - Bb...

--------------------------
5 - 5 - 6 - 8 - 6 - 5 - 3 - 3..
5 - 5 - 5 - 5 - 5 - 5 - 3 - 3..
5 - 5 - 7 - 5 - 7 - 5 - 3 - 3..
--------------------------
---------------------------

Its "Golgi Apparatus" by Phish. The verse and chorus singing parts are in 4/4 and the bridge/solo is in 15/8.

15/8 ?

I've heard of one mesure of 8/8 then one mesure of 7/8 , like Iron Maiden does all the time , like in "The Trooper " The beat jumps a little at the end of the mesure, is all .

That's cool though , a ii v I that goes to vii at the end

To What sould i play over , guy....
For Jazz try your basic bossa nova . For RockTry Chuck berry, "Roll over Beethoven" . The Allman bros, One way out " and Midnite Rider" and skynard "Gimme Back My Bullets" is awsome to Play A minor Pentatonic blues riffs over .
