How would you finger this, I was practicing some slow scales in thirds... can't quite get this to sound clean. It either is a bit choppy cuz I have to move my ring finger and the tone dies, rolling the ring finger over 2 strings usually makes some unwanted noise and its uncomfortable for me. going through the scale, I can get everything nice and even with no choppiness until that part. Attached a powertab to show what I mean. Should I use my pinky to hit the D? that seems odd to me since it throws my hand out of alignment, but I can't get that clean uninterrupted ringing otherwise.
I have the metronome set at 60bpm

I just played it and was able to make it ring by playing it
1 4 3 2 3 2 4 3 4 3 2 4

i was able to make it ring no problem (with the fingering you suggested).
sounds like you have a problem with fingers 3 and 4. the 3rd and 4th fingers are the slowest of them all. just practice alot.
my 3rd + 4th fingers are quite strong due to the large amount of fast sweep picking i do. you may find that you can't sweep fast.
can you sweep fast?
if not then then this may also be because you lack the strenght of the 3rd and fourth finger.

I don't sweep pick, never tried, I don't play music with that stuff in it, fastest I can play is the fast lick from good times bad times, but thats just alternate picking.
As far as letting that ring, how do you manage to keep that note ringing while moving the ring finger. As soon as I let go of the B to change to the D note, the sound stops. I can do it fairly easily at a faster speed because you can't notice the nuiances, but at the slower setting, I still can't do it, can you describe exactly what your doing?
I understand how your doing it Nuclear, thats what I initially went to, but it seems unnatural since theres excessive hand shifting, guess thats the only way to do though.
Arp, My 3rd and 4th fingers are fine, do you have the metronome at 60bpm? I've tried several times, still, theres a slight break in the sound.

I just played it and was able to make it ring by playing it
1 4 3 2 3 2 4 3 4 3 2 4
which do you prefer, that fingering, or
1 4 3 2 3 2 4 3 2 1 1 4,
sliding the index finger, I tried this, not as clean a sound, but its a bit more comfortable for me.
