I have been trying to play Enter Sandman for 2 days now and still cannot seem to consistantly get the timing for the intro correct. I can play much harder songs and think I may have suffered brain damage somehow which is not letting me play an easy song like that (except the solo) Has anyone else suffered from this condition at some point or another?

yeah.. if its getting to you though, it might not be a bad idea to take a break (i'm not saying for a week or anything) but long enough so that when you pick up your guitar it doesn't feel like a chore

Which isn't to say that you shouldn't practice, etc, but don't burn yourself out. if a passage or something isn't happening, either slow it down and learn it slowly, or take a break and crack at it again fresh.

just .02. if even that much!

Yeah, sometimes it helps to let go and play something else for a couple of days, and then get back to it. I tend to get frustrated in such situations, and that defenitely doesn't help.

Yup, because of Enter Sandman I'm learning rhythm now. I was having trouble with rhythm and picking after the intro. Didn't help either when my teacher played all of Enter Sandman and wouldn't go through it piece by piece with me. So now I'm messing with learning The Four Horsemen/Mechanix. Just try to have fun when practicing/playing and not to worry about it.

Get to the hospital as fast as you can! But don't drive with all that brain damage!
