i bought a book with a cd that has two channles...one is just the guitar and the other is just the music and of course they play together as well...my question is what type software or whatever can i use to seperate the channles to play them individually? thanks

Balance, left and right. No SW required.

You could i.e. simply play the CD back with Winamp, and move the "balance" fader all the way to either side... that way, youŽll hear only one channel at a time.
If you want, say, an MP3 where you only hear one side no matter what, you can use any sound editing proggie such as Wavelab or Goldwave to lower the volume of either one of the channels to 0.

well i understand that..but i dont have a cd player that has a balance....i have real old cheap stuff lol i was wondering if there is a downloadable music player that you would recomend that gives you the ability to balance the channels.

Oh, now I get it :) Windows Media Player has L/R. Virtually every SW music player has it somewhere if you can find it. Or you could click on the "volume" icon in the taskbar in windows and adjust it that way too.
