I don't know any particular sites for Spanish music, however, I know a few scales which you could try.

You might want to explore:

- The PHRYGIAN mode of the major scale
- The HARMONIC MINOR scale, and its 5th mode; the PHRYGIAN DOMINANT
- The DORIAN mode of the major scale (maybe not as exotic sounding as the already mentioned ones, but give it a try; Carlos Santana sticks to it!)

Oh yeah, there's a guy named Ricardo on the Vai forum who plays flamenco, you could ask him.

Most Spanish/Latin music revolves around the i-V or V-i. Example would be Am-E7 or E7-Am. These progressions use harmonic minor and some melodic minor over the V and harmonic minor or natural minor over the i. The progression Theox mentioned is in this family being a i-VII-VI-V. There is heavy emphasis on the i and the V from a soloing perspective.

There are several excellent books, including a Mel Bay "Teach Yourself Flamenco" thing that is not bad.
