OK guys, I need some help here!!
Can anyone point me in the right direction for some decent Arp tabs either lessons or particular tracks that you'd recommend!!
Being an old Blueser it's not something that I've ever concentrated on that much
but I think it's something that I need to add to the repetoire!!!
Any help will be very gratefully received!!

I got a load a stuff sent to me a while back on the back of a similar question. Arp etudes ( no not the speed freak dude that used to come here) and patterns and exercises etc. I'll e-mail 'em to you.
...although I never got any dim or 7th arp shapes and exercises...anyone have anything on those?

Al Di Meola's got a book called Chords, arp's and ... that I used (in the middle ages). I'll have a look and see if there's something there that would meet your needs.
BTW. Russ, I wouldn't mind being copied on that e-mail.

UkRuss, I would like a copy of that stuff too please, if you get the chance, thanks.
Hey Russ! I sent you a real noddy dom7 one... :D I have some noddy maj/min7/min7b/dim ones in the pipe that I keep meaning to do for my own purposes. But, hopefully you got some better stuff from the pros than my sh*te though... in which case I'm interested.
A nice one for working up arps on 3 strings is the section that the Phantom-meister posted from his strickly neoclassical solo. You don't have to play it at full speed....

Any help will be very gratefully received!!I am working with Cardelo on a thread that will address chord tones and modes as one family. It should be ready perhaps by tommorow.

is this to play sweep picking or alternate picking?
If you can upload some files that would be great, since i could benefit from some patterns to practice and work with.
When i think of crazy arpeggies, i think of YJM's master piece "Arpeggies from hell", giant E minor arpeggies up the entire fretboard and then crazy dimished ones, and at great speed aswell.

That YJM piece is good. It looks like he's playing so "not blazing fast" when you watch him, but then try play it yourself and you realize how impossible it really is.
Here's a nice 3-string diminished arpeggio. Very easy and very fun. I recommend though using the Yngwie fingering for these ones. That is you would plat the first three notes with the index, middle, and ring finger, while with when you go to hammer-on, hammer on with your pinkie. I've seen Yngwie do this in a couple of his videos.
