No, serious jord, what is important about what WE think that it sounds better since it's more important what YOU think... But to give you an answer: In my opinion it's sometimes better to use distortion and sometimes clean sounds - the context gives you the answer!!! I'm at all not a fan of heavy distortion if it hides mistakes or is to muddy... So my answer would without mentioning other pros and cons: less distortion!!!

It truely depends on the song and context its used in. Im suggest you practise sweeping with clean though (as well as any other technique), as distortion will hide mistakes.

That is true, but distortion can also help to amplify a lack of muting technique, so itīs a good idea to occasionally switch to a distorted sound to see how your sweeping sounds with that
