Im looking for some lessons on Folk jigs and stuff...so I can write those crazy cool violin solo type stuff on guitar.
Im also looking for more chords. I really only know my power chord variations and those basic open chords, and maj minor bar chords.

hee, hee...sounds quite strange...
You only know the basic chords...and you want to plunge in complex technique matters such as 8 finger tapping and intervallic tapping lines??...i wonder...
Check out the archives, there must be an article about chords...we have almost everything here at IBM, kiddo...

Well. Im not really anything more than a metal guitarist. And ive seen at least 2 articles or bits of advice here saying "Dont learn what you wont use" And I really dont use open chords of bar chords and stuff cuz I use alot of distortion. I understand chord theory. Im just looking for fingerings of the chords and all. I mean, if I wanted to use my 8 finger tapping to do a certain arpeggio or something I could easily figure it out. But im just looking for some chord fingerings since I never really dug into those.

The latest few issues of Guitar Technique magazine have some articles about playing violin jigs and reels on the guitar. Probably worth tracking them down if thats your bag.

 That's not hard to believe DemonSorcerer. Knowing chord theory doesn't mean you have memorized barre chords. You can take a Root, 3rd, 5th, and an octave and jam them together and not have a practical chord shape. Right?
Anyway, learn the open E, A, Em, and Am first. I say this because those fingerings can be easily barred up the neck to make higher chords just as simply as you currently move power chords around. Barring an open G or D is more difficult, but E, A, Em, and Am are fairly simple with no big stretches, and learning the 7ths of those chords is as easy as lifting a finger. It will make more sense once you learn it. Hope this helps.

There are a couple of articles in the article section that deal with both chord theory and chord fingering. Check those out. They should keep you busy for a while.
