Well after these few years that I've been playing guitar, I've been improving my technique little by little making it better. I have only had one problem that is driving me crazy! The pinky!! It seems as if I have no control over it. I feel that when it is not being used it is too far away from the fretboard. I need help, maybe some excercises that can help the pinky!

Thanks!!

Try doing trills between four LH pinky and middle...it's gonna be a lil' awkward at first, nut you'll fell the stremght coming to it...

Thanks man. A few people have been telling me this. I should start working on it.

The muscle will benefit more if you exaggerate the pressure and move slowly, set your metronome to a low speed and play runs all over, also try playing small legato fragments slowly, remember, this is NOT a speed exercise, it's a pinky exercise, apply it as so.

And don't ignore your trills, of course.

The best way i've found of improving the skill of using your little finger is to learn songs and solos that require you to use it. through determindation of wanting to play the song you'll stick at it, and with time improve.
