Harmonic Minor Licks and Runs

Maby somthing of this sort has already been posted but im looking to improve upon Harmonic Minor soloing and i was wondering if anyone could post some licks they especially like. I know the pedal tone type lick Yngwie does and anymore by him would be appreciated. Also i had a theory question.

Some songs use Harmonic Minor and achieve a Classical and not too dark sounding tone. I'v also heard others that sound very evil and menecing using this tone, How exactly do you get both those sounds? What type of chord progressions are used in a HM scale that gets the more classical sound and those that get the more evil sound?

Anyways all HM licks are more than appreciated.

I'll try to tackle this subject. The harmonic minor scale is the same as the natural minor with the exception that the 7th is a major 7 in the HM and is a dominant 7 in NM. Using A minor as an example, the NM is A-B-C-D-E-F-G, and the HM is A-B-C-D-E-F-G#. For your question about how to make HM sound like a "normal" NM, use the chords/notes common to both. The "evil" HM sound is obtained by using the 1/2 steps between G# and A, B and C, and E and F. Just grab your guitar and start playing these notes and you'll discover some wicked sounds.
