if anyone has a descent answer to my question, ill gladly worship you..

is there a bad way to pick, and by that i mean either from the elbow, wrist or a combination of both?? and is it slopy to encorporate elbow into wrist tehnique ad a metal player..?? lecture me if you must!!! if im getting elbow movement when trying to play from the wrist ( during metronome practice etc..) am i pushing myself to much?? should i slow it down?? or is it natural??

Ok, I'd say there is no "bad" way to pick unless it is causing pain...as long as you are achieving the desired result.
If you are doing some serious chording I would almost expect elbow movement, especially if there is equal up/down strumming.
For fast leads, the "floating wrist" technique (see other threads) seems to be the most efficient for most people.
So...let the worship begin! (but not 8am to 3pm W, Th, Fr, Sat, Sun...I work nights and prefer worship free sleeping)
