chord voicings

I was wondering what is the best way to approach learning different voicings for the main chords like maj,min,sus,7th,etc, primarily on the top 4 strings. Website/book perhaps? It seems like there are so many possibilities, it would be helpful to have some kind of structure to learn from. Thanks
