Sweep picking for scales not arpeggios?

Are there any sweep licks out there designed for scales as opposed to the usual arpeggios? I just wonder because it's something I've never heard.

What got me thinking about it was the way Zakk Wylde takes techniques associated with 3nps and applies them to the 2nps pentatonic ie strict triplet and sixteenth note patterns. If he can do that, then why not apply sweeps to pentatonic and other scales?

Hybrid picking may be close to this idea, but picking two strings in a downward mini-sweep isn't the same as picking three or more.

    Anyway, just meandering.

That issue has been covered before. There's this Frank Gambale video clinic about sweep picking. He explains a method that uses sweep picking for pentatonic examples.
Check it out for further information.

It's in the monster licks and speed picking vid...but in Chopbuilder...i think he goes through some ideas covering the technique. It's just that he doesn't explain how to do it. That vid, Chopbuilder...:P hahaha, it's quite a workout

try figuring out 3 note per string pentatonic and blues scales. I like the 3nps blues scales alot - pentatonic is harder. those are awesome when you get them fast with economy and they get you out of the box.
