Sweet! I kinda wish I could've caught it when Eric Johnson was the 3rd G but I defintely wasn't too stoked about petrucci (oh the brutality)

I hope they come to Reno (Vai lives just an hour away and Satriani swings through here every year so I think there may be good odds)

    Thanks for the tip Oceano!

Oh man, this will be awesome. I've never seen Yngwie live, just "live videos". I can't imagine what the jam will be like at the end!

G3 usually makes it to Seattle... Let's hope the trend continues!

BTW, Queensryche and Dream Theater were just in town. Unfortunately my band was playing a wedding that night so I didn't get to go! I was tempted to drive down to Portland and catch it there the night before...

Has anyone seen the ticket prices?

    Seattle:
    Main floor $47.50-67.50
    2nd Mezzanine $47.50
    3rd Mezzanine $27.50

What the heck is going on here? I don't think I'm going...

It would be about $250 for the evening (2 tix, parking, souvenirs, etc).

I spent $90 for the same thing a few years ago!

Why is Seattle so expensive? The Paramount isn't even that nice!

They usually sell concert shirts, maybe some other stuff. I think it all depends on what band is playing. I'll be seeing G3 in San Diego and I can't wait.

Tour shirts are usually $20-30 each, plus there are bandanas and CD's and all sorts of eclectic items.

I can't justify spending that much money on this show. You can't see anything if you buy cheap seats, so I'd have to spend $67.50 x2 on tickets alone!

I've seen G3 three times already. I guess I'll wait for Malmsteen to come here on his own. And I'll buy the DVD which will be coming out later (that's a premonition!)

It's a bummer to miss Malmsteen though... I've seen Vai 5 times and Satriani 3 times so that's not as big a disappointment to me.

    ??? You've never been to a concert?

I might be able to go after all if I can round up some friends to go with me. That might be tough because no one is interested in shred.
