Not receiving instant email notifications

I posted this in the cafe, wrong place. Anyway, I use to get instant email notifications when someone responded to a thread. I did not change anything but that stopped. I checked my profile settings and my email address is still there, I checked my spam box and nothing there, I added IBM to my address book but nothing seems to work. Any ideas as to how I can get this working again?
